Fractional and interim CFO

A finance lead, without the full-time salary.

Know your cash 13 weeks out and price jobs for real margin. We work with your bookkeeper and your systems, a few days a month or more when you need it.

Start with a diagnostic

Three levels of ongoing support

Each level includes everything in the one before it. Monthly retainer, scoped after a diagnostic of your books and cash.

Level 1

Reporting

Never miss payroll. Know your cash 13 weeks out.

  • Monthly close review with your bookkeeper
  • Monthly KPI pack
  • 13-week cash forecast
  • Monthly owner meeting
Level 2

Forecasting

Financials your bank can rely on.

  • Annual budget
  • Rolling 12-month forecast
  • Lender reporting and covenant tracking
  • Pricing and margin analysis
Level 3

Strategic CFO

Ready to sell, or to buy, in two to three years.

  • Exit-readiness scorecard and plan
  • Quarterly business reviews
  • Acquisition and financing models
  • Managing the bank relationship

Interim CFO

When the business needs a CFO in the building for a while.

Near-full-time finance leadership for a set period, with a clear goal and a handoff plan at the end.

Turnarounds

Take control of cash, work with lenders, and steady operations while the business recovers.

Growth

A new location, a big contract, or an acquisition that needs finance leadership to get done right.

Exit

Clean up the books, build the add-back schedule, and get through buyer diligence without surprises.

Systems we work in

QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, and the industry software you already run. We don’t make you switch.

Every engagement starts with a diagnostic: a review of your books, a 13-week cash baseline, and the handful of numbers you should watch every week.

Common questions

How is a fractional CFO different from my bookkeeper or CPA?

Your bookkeeper records what happened, and your CPA handles taxes. A fractional CFO looks ahead: cash forecasts, budgets, pricing, and the reporting your bank expects. We work alongside both.

Which accounting systems do you work in?

QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, and the industry software you already run. You won’t have to switch.

How does an engagement start?

We review your books and your last year of reporting, then propose one of three levels: Reporting, Forecasting, or Strategic CFO. You see the scope and the monthly fee in writing before work starts.

Do you work on site?

Most work happens remotely in your accounting system, with regular calls. We travel for site visits, lender meetings, and closings.

Can you step in on a short-term basis?

Yes. Interim CFO work covers turnarounds, periods of fast growth, and the year or two before a sale.
